The bench model Trimaran is made in the form of a classic sailing yacht. The design of the Merihobus includes a huge amount of the most realistic gear, parts and elements familiar to any sailor. Here you will find miniature winches, rigging, sails, beams and frames, as in a real ship.

The Trimaran’s hull is made in the “skeleton” style, which allows us to examine the design of the model from the inside and visually get acquainted with the device and mechanisms of such ships. The aft swivel feather of the steering wheel is controlled by cables stretched through the side floats to the steering wheel at the stern of the main body. Underwater wings on the side floats give stability to the structure and create a sense of elevation of the model. The side floats are attached to the main body with a power frame made in the same style as the sailing system. Also on the side floats is a mechanism for launching boats into the water. It includes hinged brackets and a working winch.

On the mast are the sail grotto and staysail. As in the real trimarans, the grotto is lowered and rises along the mast along the face-groove with the help of the grotto-halyard. The front sail, the staysail, is twisted / spun on the head. On the nose, under the bowsprit, there is a staysail spin drum. Boom sails are thrown with a lever that pulls the boom box.

The mechanical model “Trimaran Merihobus” is made of high-quality plywood, tested by European laboratories, which is also used in the manufacture of European children’s furniture. The model is fully equipped with everything necessary for assembly. The workmanship of the parts is very high – the laser method is used to cut elements from plywood board. The cuts are made by a CNC laser machine, the lines are approximately from human hair. Inside the package you will find plywood boards, from which you only need to squeeze the finished parts and transform them into a functional model of a sailboat. You do not need glue or special tools to assemble.
